While not every new Monopoly Go album launch introduces new gameplay mechanics, recent seasons have certainly bucked that trend, and the latest crossover event featuring The Simpsons album is no exception!
Beyond the obvious album features, stickers, and new cosmetics, there are new mechanics that only reveal themselves once you’re actually playing on the board. If you aren’t familiar with these mechanics beforehand, you might miss out on valuable rewards.
To ensure you don’t miss a beat, EZG has put together a guide on how to participate in the new mini-events, The Simpsons Run and Bribe Wiggum, so you can make the most of this season!

What are Monopoly Go mini events?
The standard Monopoly Go schedule typically features three types of events: partner events, solo events, and flash events. Solo events include daily tournaments and banner events, as well as periodic attractions like the treasure-digging mini-game and Peg-E.
Mini-events that fall outside these categories usually launch alongside specific new albums and remain active only for that season. These events temporarily alter board rules, requiring you to complete special objectives to unlock rewards.
However, it is worth noting that while mini-events are relatively rare, they don’t necessarily guarantee high-tier stickers from the new album, at least not during The Simpsons season.
So, if you want to accelerate your album progress or unlock high-star and gold stickers sooner, your best bet is to buy Monopoly Go stickers at EZG.com. We always provide attentive service and fast delivery!

What is The Simpsons Run?
As the first mini-event introduced with Monopoly Go The Simpsons album, The Simpsons Run is closely tied to your progress on the board. As you move around the board to complete various standard events, you will occasionally land on Free Parking tile.
Under normal circumstances, landing on this tile simply offers a brief respite.
However, when Free Parking flash event is active, an unclaimed reward pool accumulates as you move around the board.
Subsequently, every time you land on specific tiles, the game adds rewards to this pool, with the specific amount determined by your active dice multiplier.
When you land on Free Parking tile, you can immediately collect all the accumulated cash (or dice; Free Parking event comes in both cash and dice versions). Once collected, the prize pool resets.
During The Simpsons album, everything is replaced by The Simpsons Run landing on Free Parking tiles now triggers this event.

During this mini-event, the standard game board temporarily disappears, replaced by a new mini-game running track. You are given a special die featuring a Simpsons character, which you roll to advance along the track.
As you run, you must react quickly to dodge obstacles ahead while collecting points. The more points you gather, the greater the rewards upon reaching the finish line, these may include dice, cash, and packs containing random Monopoly Go cards.
After completing a run, you are transported back to the main board to continue playing until you land on Free Parking tile again.
Bribe Wiggum event mechanic details
Wiggum, full name Clancy Wiggum, is a character from The Simpsons and the police chief of Springfield. In the show, he is characterized by traits such as greed, corruption, and laziness; the creators often use him to convey critical social commentary.
Like The Simpsons Run, Bribe Wiggum event triggers only when you land on a specific tile: Go to Jail tile (a nod to Wiggum’s role as police chief).
Normally, landing on this tile sends you straight to jail, pausing your game; you can only leave by rolling doubles within three attempts or by paying cash.
However, you can now trigger the all-new Bribe Wiggum event. Chief Wiggum stands guard here and provides a special dice.
The die features different symbols. If you roll Bribe, you can pay cash to Chief Wiggum; he will immediately release you and award you a large number of free dice.
If you roll Key, nothing happens, and you proceed with whatever rewards you have already earned.

But if you are unlucky enough to roll Handcuffs, Chief Wiggum will do his duty. Not only will you end up in jail and have to pay bail, but any previously accumulated rewards will also be wiped out instantly!
Other changes involving special tiles
Beyond the tiles linked to the two new mini-events mentioned above, there are other special tiles on Monopoly Go board that have undergone detailed changes due to the introduction of The Simpsons album.
For instance, as you move around the board, you might land on the orange question-mark Chance Tiles, allowing you to draw a Chance Card. This could result in a reward or a penalty.
The artwork on these cards has now been updated to The Simpsons theme, a look that will remain until the album event ends. Notably, five of these card designs were selected via player votes before the album launched.
Additionally, the graphics and animations for Shutdown and Bank Heist mini-games, triggered by landing on Railroad Tiles, have also been updated with The Simpsons theme.
This means you can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Springfield within Monopoly Go throughout June and July!
That covers everything for this update. If you previously made mistakes due to a lack of familiarity with these mechanics, now is the perfect time to give it another shot!
